Jaengenya (jane-jenya) is a vineyard producing boutique wines- only five minutes drive through classic redgum country from the heart of historic Echuca on the Murray River.
Our name is the Aboriginal word for goanna. Back in 1865- just as the riverboat trade was booming- land was set aside for the township of Jaengenya. It never eventuated, but the goannas are still in residence and our temperate climate and rich soils now produce fine wines for your enjoyment.
We are growers who care about the environment and are heading towards organic certification. Rest assured we use no chemicals- only organic fertilizers and mulches such as fish products, kelp and straw.
