Ute On The Pole
In 1999 Deniliquin held the inaugural "Deni Play on the Plains Festival". Part of the festival was the World Record Ute Muster, which attracted 2,839 Utes to Deniliquin and set a Guinness World Record.
The festival in 2000 attracted twenty thousand visitors and broke the record with 2,990 Utes assembled.
To promote the festival and Deniliquin as the "Ute Capital of the World", a WB Holden Ute was erected on a six metre high pole. The Ute is complete with an engine.
