Oze Wildlife Sanctuary
Eagles, dingoes, water birds, possums, lizards, parrots, wombats and wallabies are only some of the birds and animals sheltered by this wildlife sanctuary near Albury.
Kangaroos and wallabies roam freely around the grounds, as do the gloriously coloured peacocks, native parrots and the wedge-tail eagles are housed individually in spacious enclosures. The large man-made lake attracts numerous water-birds including the rare cape barren geese.
The Ettamogah Sanctuary serves an important function in the nursing and rehabilatation of hurt native animals and birds.
Visitors are welcome to picnic in The Sanctuary or relax in the kiosk and restaurant. Conducted educational tours can be arranged for groups of young and old prior arrangement.
