Corowa Race Club
The Corowa Race Club, established in 1876 is one of the leading race clubs in the Southern District Racing Association area and currently conducts eight
race meetings a year. With a high standard of racing and excellent dining and bar facilities the club offers good racing, country hospitality and exciting
atmosphere for everyone. Of the eight race meetings held at the club each year, five meetings are regarded as more significant, due to the large crowd
attendance and atmosphere.
These are:
Tuesday 4th November 2008 (Melbourne Cup Day)
Melbourne has the race that stops the nation but Corowa has all the glamour, fun and excitement of a true cup meeting.
There is plenty of entertainment with on-course events such as fashions on the field, live music and lucky race book competitions. Marquees are available for hire.
Sunday 9th March 2008 (Corowa Cup Day)
This meeting is promoted as "Ladies Day" with all ladies being admitted free to the racecourse. There is Fashions on the field, Live Music and a Racing.
Luncheon in an exclusive marquee. Bookings essential.
Saturday 7th June 2008 (Winery Walkabout Weekend)
Patrons can relax and enjoy live music and gourmet food while sampling wines from the Rutherglen region.
