For environmental and history enthusiasts, Savernake Station offers a rare mix of unique features.
There are 400 hectares of pristine species-rich Box/Pine Woodland ideal for day visitors. Rare and threatened species of flora and fauna, many marsupials, over 200 birds, 400-year old native white cypress pines and exceptional understorey.
There’s a 1912 fully functional Woolshed, with steam engine, Wool room display, Shearers' Quarters with Museum and 1930's-style Shearer's Hut.
Aboriginal Sites and culture: including Canoe Scar Trees, Boat Rock corroboree ground and hand-dug granite waterhole.
Landcare projects, including understorey enhancements; Seed Production Area; electrified Curlew Breeding site.
All visits are by prior arrangement only.
No tours being held during extreme weather conditions.
