Bombing of Darwin WWII TourOn this half day tour, you will enjoy visiting many of the remaining relics and reminders from Darwin's involvement in World War II. A stop at the Darwin Military Museum is included and here you can wander the displays and gun emplacements which were built to protect Australia during the time of war. At many of the stops you will have the opportunity to walk around and explore, or listen to the stories which are part of Australia's history, as told by your guide. You'll see reminants of the submarine boom cable, anti aircraft gun site, the original Qantas Hangar and bullet holes left over from an attack by a 'Zero' plane. Please note that the tour duration is 3.5 hours. | |
