Arnhem Land Aboriginal Culture TourArnhemland Barramundi Nature Lodge, in conjunction with the Bawinanga Aboriginal Corporation, offer a selection of Aboriginal culture tours that will educate, excite, and enlighten you. Choose from a Traditional Bush Tucker Tour, where the emphasis will be on gathering bush tucker, or raw materials for painting, weaving or carving. Or enjoy a Traditional Hunting Tour out with local people, where you may scramble through mangroves looking for mud crabs, or go spearing for barramundi. Take the Aboriginal Rock Art Tour, where you'll see unique rock art only accessible to a few. Or join the Aboriginal Island Life Tour where you'll catch fish, eat oysters off the rocks, or enjoy bird watching. Tours can also include a Maningrida Town Tour, a visit to the Djomi Museum and the Maningrida Arts and Culture. Arnhem Land BirdsOn this five day tour, professional bird watching guides will take you through one of Australia's final bird frontiers. With an incredible variety of birds inhabiting this area, you're sure to spot some magnificent specimens. Be on the lookout for the white-lined honeyeater, the white-bellied sea eagle, the great-billed heron, and the white-throated grass wren, or listen for their delightful bird calls.
