Owned and operated by traditional Bolmo Deihdrungie clan Aboriginal people, learn about and experience an authentic and utterly fascinating journey within the heart of Kakadu National Park. Enjoy a Kakadu Culture Camp cultural experience through night or tailored tours with a three course traditional campfire dinner with barramundi and buffalo cooked on the coals, fresh cooked damper (bread) with home-made bush jams and cream, and guided bush tucker walks. Using local pandanus fibre, learn basket weaving and make a Kakadu bracelet to take home, have a go on the didjeridu or simply soak up the local billabong atmosphere while fishing. Crocodiles are often seen lurking nearby, dingos and wallabies are spotted on the rivers edge and even barramundi can be seen by underwater spotlight. You’ll learn the legend of Warramurrunggundji, Creation Mother for the Kakadu people, as well as other Aboriginal night sky stories. There is also art and craft for sale at special prices when touring with Kakadu Culture Camp.

Kakadu by Night

Kakadu by Night is a cultural experience that features a guided bush tucker walk and a three course traditional campfire dinner including barramundi and buffalo cooked on the coals, followed by fresh cooked damper (bread) with home-made bush jams and cream, tea and coffee. Using local pandanus fibre, learn basket weaving and make a Kakadu bracelet to take home and have a go on the didjeridu. There is also art and craft for sale at special prices when on this tour. This tour operates every Wednesday night between May and October depending on seasonal conditions. Please quote tour code KCC2 when booking.

Kakadu Culture Camp Tailored Tours

Overnight at Kakadu Culture Camp in the camps' safari tents with room enough for the family and solar heated water or stay next door at Muirella Park Campground in your own tent or caravan. Night Wildlife Boat Cruise

The Night Wildlife Boat Cruise is unique to the region as it's the only cruise that takes visitors to see the night time wonders of Kakadu. Crocodiles are often seen lurking nearby, dingos and wallabies are spotted on the rivers edge and even barramundi can be seen by underwater spotlight. You'll learn the legend of Warramurrunggundji, Creation Mother for the Kakadu people, as well as other Aboriginal night sky stories. The boat does not have a canopy which makes for a magical experience under the Kakadu night sky. This tour operates every night between May and October depending on seasonal conditions.
