Top Didj and Art Gallery
Top Didj and Art Gallery has a beautiful bush location on the way to Katherine Gorge and offers a large range of didjeridoos and authentic Aboriginal artwork. There are Aboriginal crafts including boomerangs, weaving, dilly bags, clap sticks and carvings, and an opportunity to pat the pet emu.
There is a resident artist, Manuel Pamkal, who will be happy to demonstrate the art of Rarrk painting and even let you have a try. His wife, Jessica, will show you some of her beautiful baskets and you can watch a movie showing Jessica collecting the pandanus and dye, to make the baskets.
The gallery is open from May to October but can be accessible by appointment during November to April.
