Lorella Springs Wilderness Adventure

Fronting the Gulf of Carpentaria, on the road between Roper Bar and Borroloola, Lorella Springs Station is one of the world’s most isolated, remote and untouched last frontiers. This one million acre property offers pristine coastlines and water ways, chasms and gorges, a bubbling hot spring and some of the best fishing in the Northern Territory.

The Lorella Springs Wilderness Adventure is an all inclusive remote camping experience tailored to suit your desires, requirements and capabilities. Activities include camping under the stars in safari-tent style accommodation and swag when out bush, fishing in unspoiled environments, four-wheel drive and small plane transport, walking and hiking, bird and animal watching, and evenings around the campfire telling stories about the day’s adventures.

Services

7 Day Wilderness Adventure

Every trip is different, so expect the unexpected. With over one million acres of the virtually untouched Lorella Springs Wilderness Park to explore, every outing is a new adventure and you never know what you will encounter along the way. Travel out to the Gulf of Carpentaria to fish, or hike the Tawallah Ranges and then cool off in the rock pools. A four-wheel drive trek takes you away from the homestead and into the remoteness where you'll spend the night under the stars, in a swag. Learn about the wildlife, plantlife and the stars, go spotlighting after dark for crocodiles and marsupials, and perhaps even visit a bat cave. There's even time to relax in the soothing waters of the natural thermal pool. Meals are included and cooked over the campfire. This is a remote camping experience therefore bookings are essential.
