Kathleen Springs WalkThe personalised, small group walking tours take around 1.5 hours to complete. The two kilometre (return) Kathleen Springs walk is very gentle, with a path suitable for prams, wheelchairs and other wheeled vehicles. Your guide Matt, tells the stories of the Aboriginal and European history of the area and while wandering along the walk, you may be lucky enough to spot some Euros (large wallaroo) in the afternoon. As Kings Canyon car park is around 30 kilometres away, it's a great idea to do this walk when you're either leaving or entering the park. Kings Canyon Creek WalkThis track meanders up the red gum lined Kings Creek and concludes at an elevated viewing platform, giving you uninterrupted views of the sheer walls of Kings Canyon from a different angle. This is a less strenuous option than the Rim Walk. Depending on what catches your attention, the 2.6 kilometre (return) walk takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. Highlights along the way include the abundant birdlife, a variety of plants and glimpses of lizards. Kings Canyon Rim WalkThe Kings Canyon Rim Walk is the most popular walk at Kings Canyon and is suitable for people with moderate fitness and are comfortable walking on uneven surfaces. First up, the track gains 90 vertical metres quite quickly, this ascent normally takes 25 minutes or so, but taking it slow is recommended, so you can enjoy the views and take lots of photos. The six kilometre loop requires 3.5 hours to complete or longer, if you're keen to walk a few of the side trips. Highlights of the walk are the spectacular views, walking through beehive domes and the waterhole at the Garden of Eden. Tailored WalkInterested in bird watching or taking photos of stunning scenery, flora and fauna, Matt, your guide from Kings Canyon Walking Tours, can put together a walking tour to meet your needs. Feeling energetic and want to do more than one walk with Matt, no worries, just drop Matt and email and let Matt to put an itinerary together for you.
