Commissariat Stores
Built by convicts in 1829, the Commissariat Store is one of the oldest buildings in Brisbane and today houses a museum where you can explore many interesting artefacts and Brisbane memorabilia on display.
The riverside site of the stores is located on what was a gateway to the infant colony. Prisoners and guards disembarking would make their way past the building to reach the other buildings of the settlement.
