Old Government House
Take the opportunity to visit the original home of Queensland's early Governors. Built 1860 to 1862, the house was the home and administrative base for the Governor.
Regarded as one of this city and state's 'most important heritage sites', it is significant both for its past and present residents and because, in early colonial Brisbane, it was one of only two major buildings.
Please note: Old Government House is currently closed for a major restoration, and is due to re-open in early 2009. For updates during the restoration, please refer to the website for more information.
