Mount Cordeaux Track

This return track in the Main Range National Park branches off the Rainforest Circuit and meanders up through rainforest past strangler figs, buttressed trees, ferns, vines, hoop pines, and palms. The track climbs steadily past gullies and small streams with a recommended stop to marvel at the large brush box along the way.

Further up, the forest changes to open montane heath with grasstrees. At the junction, the left fork leads to Bare Rock, which is more suitable for walkers with greater capacity, while the right fork leads to the end of the Cordeaux Track.

Flowering giant spear lillies on the cliff face make a spectacular show in spring. Enjoy the view before returning the same way or take the left fork along the Rainforest Circuit for a great view at Fassifern Lookout.
