Mango Paradise Bed and Barra is a working cane farm with onsite accommodation in a self-contained cabin. In season visitors can enjoy the fresh fruit of mangoes, lychee and avocadoes from the orchard trees whilst admiring the surrounding which are picturesque and peaceful. Also on the property is a fish farm consisting of 12 ponds which are at present stocked with 75,000 silver perch, which you can enjoy watching being fed both morning and evening. The big dam holds approximately 650 barramundi, which are for recreation fishing, with the record catch standing at 92 centimetres.
Feeding the pigs, chickens and playing with Honey, the friendly kelpie who never tires of playing fetch, will entertain the children. Mango Paradise is located 10 minutes north of Childers on the main highway into Bundaberg, and provides a unique holiday experience for the young and old. Being a kilometre off the main road and no neighbours in site, means peace and quiet. See the stars like never before. Only a short drive to Bundaberg and the lovely beachside town of Woodgate.
