Melaleuca Track

Burrum Coast National Park conserves essential habitat for wildlife of the coastal vegetation communities. Remarkable cabbage tree palm forests are one of several coastal lowland vegetation types protected in the Woodgate section of this park.

The Melaleuca track passes through wallum vegetation and around saltpans, paperbark swamps and mangroves. Birds are abundant near swamps and mangroves in the early morning.
