Little House of Gems is filled with exquisite Gems and Jewellery from all over the world. Discover the local Sapphires and Zircons that will dazzle you with their beauty. Take this opportunity to fossick for your own beautiful gemstones. With expert tuition provided in how to sieve, wash and sort the sapphires from the alluvial gravel.
Your experience will be addictive! They call it, getting 'bitten by the Sapphire bug'. Once you know how to identify gemstones, buy a Fossicking Permit, hire a Fossicking kit and head out to the fields and have a go out there! Or, if time is short, take a Specking Tour and see what you can pick up! Bring your stones back to the Little House of Gems to be sorted into stones that can be facetted.
Have your gemstones facetted or polished by Karen, the Gem Cutter and turned into a family heirloom by Michael the Manufacturing Jeweller. Enjoy breakfast from 9.00 a.m., lunch, morning and afternoon tea in the shady seating area whilst watching people fossick.
