Maryborough Court House

Featured on Maryborough's Walk and Drive Tour - The Court House was built in 1877 on the site of the former Immigration Barracks. Colonial Architect F D G Stanley designed the building for the State Lands Office and local builder J T Annear completed it for the sum of 7,345 pound. The slate roof is gone but the cross braced balustrade of the verandahs remain. The original unlit and unventilated lock up is located at the rear of the building. Beside the lock up is a former Second World War bomb shelter which now houses MELSA’s miniature steam trains.
