Hervey Bay Historical Village and Museum

The Hervey Bay Historical Village and Museum features 19 historical buildings housing over 8,000 exhibits, from the Fraser Coast and Wide Bay area. These exhibits include a fully-furnished slab cottage, built in 1898, the Goodwood Railway Station, the first Dundowran Hall, the original Dundowran State School, a fully equipped blacksmith shop, cane harvesting machinery, horse drawn buggies shed, restored IHC three horse power engine, petrol driven washing machine, school and music room, and Hervey Bay’s original Methodist Church, built in 1901, and now the venue for weddings.

On Sundays between 1.00 p.m. and 3.00 p.m., the blacksmith and the wood turner give demonstrations producing miniature horse shoes and wooden goblets.
