Mouth of Baffle Creek Conservation Park

Mouth of Baffle Creek Conservation Park protects the mouth of one of Queensland's remaining undisturbed coastal rivers. It also marks the southern boundary of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area, which extends north to the tip of Cape York. The northern shore of the creek estuary features sandy beaches backed by low, open casuarina woodlands, with paperbark woodlands further inland. The southern shore is lined with mangroves. Experience the quiet solitude of this coastal park. Go birdwatching or fishing, or stroll along the beach. Camping is permitted behind the dunes on the beachfront or overlooking the estuary.
