Wagawn

The Wagawn track is located in the Binna Burra section of Lamington National Park. This stunning national park boasts extensive walking tracks along the McPherson Range, which allow visitors to explore the area's forests, creeks and waterfalls. Dramatic lookouts afford views over the Gold Coast, south-east Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Lamington is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, which includes the most extensive areas of subtropical rainforest in the world. Wagawn is reached by following the Border Track out through subtropical and temperate rainforest.

The track winds up Mount Hobwee passing the Araucaria Lookout track on the left, through abundant stands of Helmholtzia lilies and climbs through dense rainforest to a junction where the options are left to Wagawn and right to Mount Hobwee. The Wagawn track descends steadily to the Lookout and its views of Springbrook, the Numinbah Valley and Mount Warning.
