Mangalore Fishing Spot
HG Blakeney got it right when he took up 'Mangalore' Station. Blakeney was one of the first surveyors in the area and knew how to select a great parcel of land - and a great fishing spot! He named the property 'Mangalore' after a city in India.
Mangalore is a shady permanent waterhole and is one of the biggest waterholes on the Warrego River. Tea trees and gum trees line the banks and there is easy access for small dingies. This all equates to great camping and even better fishing experiences.
