This morning is an unforgettable journey into the Outer Barcoo on the Shearers Trail. Get off the beaten track and find Clancy's Overflow Hotel and the famous Barcoo River where Banjo Patterson's Isisford Bush Christening was written. Explore Isisford's pioneer prehistoric past at the Outer Barcoo Interpretive Centre and visit Isisfordia Duncani. Visit Australia's largest shearing shed at Isis Downs Station and learn about the hay-day of wool when Australia rode on the sheep's back, which is heightened even further as you discover the Blackall Woolscour where history echoes – Australia's only fully restored steam driver scour. Blackall among many things is home to Jacky Howe, famous for his incredible shearing record of 321 sheep with blade shear back in 1892. You will then continue along the trail to Barcaldine where you learn the secrets of the Tree of Knowledge and the 1891 shearers strike. Take in the Award Winning Australian Workers Heritage Centre, set around a Billabong and immaculate gardens celebrating the workers of a great country. Don't miss the Working Women's display. Return to Longreach with a lifetime of tales to tell about the Outback Barcoo.

Qantas Rising Discovery Dinner

Enjoy an exclusive evening of activity, transporting you from the Secrets of the 747 and 707 back to the dawn of aviation ‘the fledging years'. The natural treasures such as the original hangar and the amazing artefacts bring alive the early culture of one of the world's first airlines telling the Qantas story at the Qantas Founders Museum. Savour the sunset nibbles and happy hour drinks under the wing of aviation history (refurbished original Qantas DC3) as the sun sets over Longreach. Spa, Stars and Outback Stations

Journey through the Channel Country, land of ‘Kings in Grass Castles' travelling from Longreach to Charleville to experience the outstanding pioneer spirit in an unforgettable landscape. Upon arrival to Longreach have a town tour showcasing points of interest and visit either Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame or the Qantas Founders Museum before taking off for a Sunset Cruise. Travel south into the Channel Country to Ray Station learning about the Tully-Durack family and station life.
