Big Red Sunset TourThe Birdsville Caravan Park runs the popular Big Red Sunset Tour on a daily basis. This tour captures the true outback spirit and culture as you sit on the top of Big Red sipping a glass of wine and enjoying the nibbles offered by your hosts. Your hosts will pick you up in their 18 seater bus from the Reception Area at the Birdsville Caravan Park. Nibbles are provided, however, bring your own beverages. Take a self drive opal tour to Deuces Wild, about 70 kilometres west of Quilpie. This is their own opal lease that once produced a fortune in opal. Although it has been filled in and the area rehabilitated, that doesn't mean there's nothing left. Be aware though that you will have to move lots of dirt to find the 'big one'!
