Spirit House Restaurant and Cooking School
Gourmet Traveller Magazine describes the Spirit House as 'a tropical film set that takes your breath away. Like the setting, the food is breathtaking.'
Clustered around a water lily pond, the setting is magical, a temple style main building with covered courtyard tables surrounding the tranquil pond, all set in lush tropical gardens dotted with Thai sculptures and ceramics.
At night the garden setting turns into a magical wonderland as hundreds of fairy lights reflect in the water. The music is the music of nature, ducks, frogs, birds against the background tinkling of temple bells.
Spirit House chefs cook the most wonderful, sensitive and fragrant Thai inspired food. So popular is their food, that two of the chefs conduct six daily classes every week in the purpose built, 'hands-on' cooking school.
These classes demystify Asian ingredients and cooking methods and are a great day out with a group of friends. Limited to 17 per class, cook four to six recipes each class, using freshly picked Asian ingredients from the Kitchen gardens, then wine and dine on your efforts over a leisurely lunch in a garden dining pavilion.
A visit to the Spirit House is a treat for all your senses, sight, sound, scent and of course, taste.
