The quaint town with its lovely parkland setting is a welcome stopover for travellers and day-trippers. Crows Nest is only a short drive from the bustling city of Toowoomba and the drive along the New England Highway is a tourists delight, with coffee shops, antiques, Danish floral art, cuckoo clock centre, garden displays, nurseries, gift shops and pioneer villages.
