Gateway Torres Strait Resort
The Gateway Torres Strait Resort, located on Horn Island in the Torres Strait is located within Wasaga Village, only a two minute walk away from the wharf area, and a five minute complimentary shuttle ride from the Horn Island airport.
The resort has 22 well appointed, fully self contained, air-conditioned rooms set amongst tranquil settings, surrounding the inground saltwater pool and renowned Torres Strait Heritage Museum. All rooms have modern cooking facilities, television, complimentary in house movies, ensuite and both double and single beds. The area's only World War Two tour is the Horn Island Forgotten Isle tour which operates from the resort, in addition to the resort's Garrison Town tour of Thursday Island. A multitude of other water, land or air based tours are available, with resort staff happy to make arrangements.
