Cape Melville National Park

Massive granite boulders of the Melville Range, sandstone escarpments of the Altanmoui Range, and inland dunefields characterise the Cape Melville National Park. These features form part of a living, Aboriginal cultural landscape.

Bush camp at Bathurst Bay behind the beach. Drive to Jones Gap for impressive views to Altanmoui Range and south to the Howick River. Look for pied imperial-pigeons and Papuan frogmouths.
