Green Island Fringing Reefs
Green Island, located off Cairns on the Great Barrier Reef, is a true coral island surrounded by sandy beaches and a huge coral reef system. 4m above sea level, 606 metres long, 200 metres wide and half a kilometre in circumference. Good snorkelling, average scuba diving, underwater observatory. Excellent for day visitors. Dive shop, scuba diving tuition and dive charter Boats to reef nearby.
