Cape Tribulation by AppointmentA spectacular experience awaits you today as you join the premium four wheel drive experience to the World Heritage listed Daintree and Cape Tribulation. Before the crowds arrive, enter the majesty of the Mossman Gorge National Park where nature displays magnificent rainforest cascading down to the boulder strewn Mossman River. We then continue to Daintree for a cruise on the river, including morning tea. Enjoy breathtaking views from Alexandra Lookout, before a delicious lunch at Noah Valley. Time then to join the Bloomfield Track and begin the four wheel drive section of our journey, travelling to Stingray Bay and Cowie Beach with its shallow bay, where few people have the privilege to stretch their legs and soak up the view. A visit to the Daintree Ice Cream Company for a wicked afternoon treat (fruit ice cream or fruit drink) is next before returning to your accommodation. Cape Tribulation, Daintree and Mossman GorgeJoin Down Under Eco Tours for a day exploring Cape Tribulation. Your driver/guide will collect you from your accommodation and travel to Daintree. After crossing the Daintree River, visit the Daintree Environmental Centre for morning tea and a chance to learn the fascinating secrets of one of the world's oldest rainforests. Continue onto Cape Tribulation. Next stop is a delicious lunch in a rainforest setting, stopping enroute at Alexandra Lookout. Enjoy a calm water cruise on the Daintree River before the return journey to Cairns, stopping at beautiful Mossman Gorge enroute. Arrive back at your accommodation after a fascinating day. Hartley's Crocodile AdventuresTake a half day tour at Hartley's Crocodile Adventures – the best place to see crocodiles in Tropical North Queensland. Join the unique eco experience of the lagoon cruise through ecologically significant Melaleuca wetlands; the domain of the saltwater crocodile. Explore the rest of the park with its abundance of wildlife including water birds, turtles, wallabies and cassowaries. See the notorious head shake and death roll of a huge crocodile at the Crocodile Attack Show and the opportunity to hold a crocodile for a photo (own expense). Discover the world's most venomous snakes at the Snake Show before the return transfer to your accommodation. Your coach departs at 4.40 p.m. for the return transfer. Kuranda All InclusiveA fantastic Kuranda experience awaits you. Meet your hostess at Freshwater Station after transferring from your accommodation. There is plenty of free time to explore this unique park and all its attractions (lunch own expense). Your coach departs at 4.40 p.m. for the return transfer. Kuranda, Scenic Rail, Skyrail and TjapukaiAfter a transfer to Freshwater Station, board the famous Kuranda Scenic Rail for a breathtaking journey on one of the world's most scenic operational rail journeys. Free time is allowed on arrival in Kuranda. At the scheduled time board Skyrail, the world's most beautiful rainforest experience, enjoying two stops enroute. After Skyrail, take the short walk to the fascinating Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Time is allowed to experience the Park including boomerang throwing, spear throwing, face painting, bush food & medicine sampling. After a great day our coach will return you to your Hotel. Tablelands, Waterfalls and Spanish CastlesEnjoy a full day out taking in the magnificent Cairns Highlands, waterfalls, rainforests and Paronella Park (Spanish Castle ruins) – one man's inspiration and dream. Your Eco accredited day includes travel up the Gillies Range to Lake Barrine, where you enjoy a delicious Devonshire Tea and cruise on the crater lake. The infamous giant Curtain Fig Tree is next, then we stop at Millaa Millaa Falls, one of the most photographed in Australia. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Mungalli Falls before continuing on to Paronella Park for a guided tour. Our last stop heading home is the Babinda Boulders. We arrive back in Cairns approx. 6pm NB: From early August, the Babinda Boulders will be replaced with the new MaMu Canopy Boardwalk. | |
