Haba Great Barrier Reef Adventure

Haba’s wide range of activities allows them to cater to the needs of everyone; the non-swimmer to the most skilled scuba diver will experience their award winning hands-on friendly service in luxury and comfort on the very outer-edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Haba operates a state-of-the-art Wave-piercing catamaran daily from Port Douglas to exclusive moorings on the Reef. The moorings provide close proximity and easy access to the reef for snorkellers and first time divers and sites are chosen daily to optimise your experience based on tides, weather and visibility. Certified divers are transported by high speed tender to remote locations. Haba is the only multiple site day-trip exiting Port Douglas to offer a glass-bottom boat option to “see it all” without having to get wet.

Certified Scuba Diving

The unspoiled World Heritage Outer Great Barrier Reef off-shore of Port Douglas and Cairns in Australia has long been the destination for the serious scuba diver. HABA has achieved Advanced Eco-Certification, and in recognition for their “best practice” operations they have been awarded extended operating permits by The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. HABA offers the perfect vessel for the blended family/group where some are certified divers, others want to snorkel and some merely want to relax, stay dry and see the Great Barrier Reef from their glass bottom boat. HABA's relaxed two site day means there is plenty of time to dive and still spend time with your family or friends who are non-divers.

Great Barrier Reef Snorkel Experience

Snorkelling is by far the most popular and easiest way to experience the magic of the underwater world. Whether you are a first time snorkeller or a return guest HABA's friendly and professional snorkel crew will assist you to maximise your day. They provide hands-on, in-water assistance for beginners. Included is all snorkelling gear, flotation devices, optical masks, stinger/wet suits, hot and cold fresh water showers and a guided snorkel tour and educational Reef Brief by a Marine Biologist. A glass-bottom boat tour is available as an optional extra as is Introductory Diving. HABA departs daily at 8:30 a.m. for the Great Barrier Reef with a little over an hour travel time. You will visit two sites allowing plenty of time for all activities and provides an easy, relaxed atmosphere instead of a regimented schedule. Your day includes morning and afternoon tea as well as a tropical buffet lunch.
