Join an expedition to work with Aboriginal Rangers and researchers as they endeavour to reverse the damage done to nesting sea turtles by feral pigs and entrapment to adult animals in abandoned foreign fishing "ghost nests".
Join the expedition to assist with measuring and tagging of nesting flat back and Olive Ridley turtles. Become immersed in the culture of a remote Aboriginal community, working side by side with its rangers. Protect turtle nesting sites with feral pig exclusion devices. Assist Aboriginal Rangers as they remove "ghost nets" from Flinders Beach, and collect data supporting Queensland's Marine Turtle Conservation Project.

Five Nights At Camp ChivareeThe research with these critically endangered animals is conducted in one of the most unique regions of Queensland. The areas you will go to are some of the most remote and isolated parts of the coast. Your role is crucial in assisting in various aspects of data collection. Whether you choose to be involved in either a nesting or general survey you will have lots of "hands on" participation including tagging and measuring turtles.
