Join BTS Tours for a well-organised day, planned from the knowledge they have gained over 19 years of operating guided tours into the Daintree Rainforest. Daintree River and Mossman Gorge Tour includes travel through the sugar cane fields to the Daintree River, a one hour cruise on the Daintree. Stops in Mossman township then two hours free time in the Mossman Gorge. Travelling from Cairns includes two hours in Port Douglas and transfers via the scenic coastal Cook Highway to Port Douglas. Kuranda Kuranda, at the top of the Barron Gorge, has been linked to Cairns by a historic mountain railway since 1891 and Skyrail, a gondola cableway, since August 1995. The colourful 'village in the rainforest' Kuranda has a tradition of imaginative art and crafts including artefacts from local Aboriginal communities. Restaurants and food stalls are culturally diverse and plentiful. BTS offers two departures daily from Port Douglas that include Skyrail, the Kuranda scenic train and two and a half hours free time in Kuranda.
