Deluxe Safari Four: Trail BlazersLeaving town around 9.15 a.m. and heading north to the Daintree River and beyond, this tour is a great day out with a late start and includes all the usual Deluxe Safari attention to detail but with a more affordable price. On Trailblazers you will travel in a Coaster to the Cape Tribulation section of the World Heritage listed Daintree National Park. The tour presents a complete journey along North Queensland's most dramatic coastline, where the rainforest clad mountains cascade in to the sparkling waters of the Coral Sea. Similar to the other Safaris, Trailblazers also cruise the Cooper Creek 'one cruise - one boat' here time stands still. Deluxe Safari One: Cape TribulationYour day begins with a short stroll through the magnificent Mossman Gorge, experiencing a rainforest over 30 million years old. Then on to the Daintree River and Cape Tribulation section of the Daintree National Park. Morning tea is at Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef. A short walk up the Kulki Track follows, providing splendid views of the beach, rainforest and inshore reefs. Venturing on to Jindalba, this Safari highlights one of the most rewarding track of this ancient rainforest. A wilderness cruise if also included on Cooper Creek, the only tour boat permitted in the Cape Tribulation section of the Daintree National Park. The trip home includes a stop at the Daintree Ice cream Company, arriving home at approx 4:30 p.m. Deluxe Safari Three: Super Deluxe Cape TribulationThe ultimate in touring, with two guides and a hostess, the custom built luxury four wheel drive caters for 14 guests with extra trimmings such as the leather seat recliners. Your two naturalist guides will share the beauty of Mossman Gorge and the Cape Tribulation section of the Daintree National Park. Relax at Betty Hinton's Gallery for a barbecue lunch, and take part in the exclusive Cooper Creek River Cruise, 'One creek - one boat', where the estuarine crocodiles, birds and animals share the ancient habitat. There is no comparison to the Super Deluxe tour - that is, if you require the very best! Deluxe Safari Two: Bloomfield TrackWhile this safari combines some of the highlights of Safari One, such as the 'one creek - one boat', Cooper Creek river cruise, and the many scenic view, its true value lies beyond the Cape to Bloomfield where the last of the untouched upland and lowland forests still remain. It's a powerful place, where nature rules with the power of water. Some rock art is also present on the rocks near the falls. It's perhaps the ultimate day out of Port Douglas, a safari of unrivalled grandeur. This personalised safari travels with only six people and is well worth the four wheel drive experience! | |
