Peddells Thursday Island Tours is a locally owned family business, operating a scheduled ferry service connecting the Cape and Thursday Island since 1980. Sit back in comfort and safety, allowing Peddells reliability and experience to transfer you safely to your destination.
Thursday Island is rich with history, culture and spectacular scenery. The view from Green Hill allows you to take in several nearby islands and the crystal turquoise-blue waters. About an hour from the mainland - you can see it down the channel! Underground, at Green Hill, is an historic fortress, which houses the local Museum. On your guided bus tour you will also take in the Pearlsgell Divers monument, located in the cemetery, and numerous historic buildings such as the courthouse and customs house dating back to the early settlement of 1877. After your tour there are numerous places to dine and of course the most northern hotel in Australia. Souvenirs can be found at Peddells Jetty Shop, or in the main street which is only one block away from the Engineers Jetty.

Thursday Island / Seisia JettyFerry departs from Thursday Island Jetty for Seisia Jetty at 6.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. Ferry departs Seisia Jetty for Thursday Island Jetty at 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. The duration of the scenic trip is approximately one hour. Motor Vessel Strait Magic was launched in 2000 and features air-conditioned cabin, information video (peak season), interior and exterior seating. Seats 88.
