Molle Islands National Park
In the heart of the Whitsundays, this park features islands with white sandy beaches and pockets of rainforest, encircled by pale blue waters of the Great Barrier Reef Coast Marine Park. South Molle is the largest in this picturesque island group. The islands provide a wildlife refuge and are popular with nature lovers too.
The park provides many bushwalking opportunities. Enjoy stunning views along South Molle's tracks. Bush camp on some islands. See the stone quarry on South Molle Island used by the Ngaro Aboriginal people for making tools and weapons. Sail around the islands. Snorkel at Sandy Bay. In late spring, see an underwater snowstorm: the annual spawning of coral. Walk between South and Mid Molle islands. Check restrictions on activities such as spearfishing, anchoring, fishing and collecting.
