Services

Broomstick

Broomstick was built in South Africa to win the Cape Town to Rio Yacht Race. From there she went on to compete in many of the world's most famous blue water events including the Sydney to Hobart. As a true Maxi, she is big, comfortable and very fast. She finished racing in 2000 and was converted to charter in 2001 - but beware! Her racing spirit still remains.

Condor

Condor is perhaps the most famous Maxi yacht in history, having won every major ocean race in the world twice! Condor is the only yacht to have achieved this distinction. These races included such highlights as the Sydney to Hobart, Fastnet, Bermuda Cup, World Maxi Championship, Porto Cervo Maxi Series and Antigua Race Week just to name a few. Condor is 81 foot 6 inch in length, was designed by Ron Holland and built in Penryn, Cornwall in the United Kingdom.

Eureka II

After being a regular competitor in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race Eureka II is now based in the beautiful tropical environment of the Whitsunday Islands. With its modern fit out and all the comforts of a cruising yacht, Eureka II is a modern spacious racing yacht, which happens to have been fitted with a comfortable interior during her construction. Accommodation is open plan with share or double berths. Two double/twin cabins are available for passengers that are after a little more privacy.

Hammer

Hammer is a 75 foot Maxi yacht that is indeed a true Australian yachting legend. Hammer was designed by Kel Steinman and owned and campaigned by Arthur Bloore. Throughout her racing career Hammer competed in many blue water events and was best known for her five consecutive placings in the world famous Sydney to Hobart, including line honours in the 50th Anniversary of the event. Hammer's paint job certainly makes her the “wild child” of Prosail's Maxi fleet. The two day, one night departs at 8.30 a.m. every even day of the month.

On Location - Sailing in Style

Whether your passion is cruising along under sail, snorkelling in turquoise waters or enjoying a leisurely walk to be amongst the local flora and fauna, On Location will take you there. This 15.4 metre luxury vessel features three private double cabins, each with their own ensuite and designer fittings. Especially fitted out for the Whitsunday climate, On Location is air conditioned throughout. The tour lasts for three days and two nights.

Whitsunday Marine Academy - Learn to Sail

Learn to sail in Australia's premier sailing ground, the Whitsunday Islands with its premier sail training school, the Whitsunday Marine Academy. The Whitsunday Marine Academy conducts various maritime courses and is accredited by Yachting Australia and International Yachtmaster Training (IYT). A variety of courses are conducted on the Academy's approved sail training vessels while you enjoy the adventure and discovery of a three or six day cruise through the magnificent waters of the Whitsunday Islands. Numbers are limited (maximum six students) and the focus is on the course syllabus and learning to sail. On these cruises there is a little less time dedicated to other tourism activities, leaving more hands-on time to practice your new found sailing skills. Courses available are from Introductory through to Yachtmaster and the more adventurous might wish to enquire about their regular mile building coastal passages.
