Air Whitsunday pioneered seaplane services to the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsunday Islands in April 1973. The company quickly grew to the largest seaplane operator in the Southern Hemisphere and it retains that position today. Air Whitsunday operates a fleet of famous De Havilland Beaver DHC-2 and Cessna 208 Caravan amphibious floatplanes.
Air Whitsunday is renowned for their seaplane services that rendezvous with their privately operated glass bottom boat, moored at an exclusive snorkelling location inside the coral suspended lagoon of Hardy Reef. Along with snorkelling tours to this exclusive reef location; they provide day trips to the five-star resorts of Hayman Island and Peppers Palm Bay, private picnics at Whitehaven Beach and the most comprehensive scenic flights on offer in the region - encompassing all the famous Whitsunday sights. Their fleet is also available for private chartered tours and for transfers between mainland and island destinations, providing an efficient and picturesque means of transfer amongst the Whitsunday Islands and mainland.
All tours and private charters are available from Whitsunday Airport on the mainland (approximately 10 minute drive from Airlie Beach central), Peppers Palm Bay on Long Island, Hayman Island Resort and Brampton Island Resort.

Golf at Laguna ResortTurtle Point Golf Course is located on the mainland at Laguna Whitsundays. The 18-hole golf course is a masterpiece by design and astonishing in its condition, boasting natural beauty and prolific wildlife. The championship course, designed by former US Open and USPGA champion David Graham and partner Garry Panks, offers a true challenge as the 6,399 metre layout meanders through native bushland and lush rainforest, and is framed by the Coral Sea lapping at a number of fairways. The Racquet Club, Halfway House and the Pro Shop will be open for additional purchases such as food, refreshments, golf balls and merchandise. Additional purchases are to be met by the guest and can be paid for by Cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card. Departure and return times are dependent on the day's schedule and aircraft availability however they will endeavour to meet your guest's requests. Please note that the average time required for this booking is seven hours. This allows for return flights and five hours on the green. Please note that dress regulations apply to Turtle Point Golf Course. Golf shoes or runners and a collared shirt must be worn. Boat shoes, sandals, board shorts and t-shirts are not permitted.
