Woodside Cheese Wrights
The Woodside Cheese Wrights has produced a range of high quality award winning cheeses since 1994. All Woodside cheeses are clean, natural products that are handmade and free from artificial preservatives. Our cheeses are made from fresh goat and cow milk sourced directly from local dairies, providing us with excellent control of milk quality.
The flavour and texture of our cheeses vary throughout the year as seasonal influences affect the raw milk. Woodside uses a pasteurisation process known as the batch method, which is gentle to the milk structure and allows us to retain the individual character of the milk selected for each cheese.
Our cheeses are made to traditional methods, which result in plenty of flavour and individual character. The action of specially selected cultures is intended to produce cheeses with real flavour that reflect the changing seasons in the "paddock".
In 1999 Woodside Cheese Wrights was purchased by the Lloyd Family of Coriole Vineyards. Coriole is well known not only for wine but also for a range of quality foods including olives, olive oil and vinegars that are ideal complements to cheese. Kris Lloyd, head cheesemaker, is responsible for the day-to-day running of Woodside Cheese Wrights, along with a passionate team of Cheesemakers.
