Glenelg Golf Course
18 holes, par 71, Australian course rating 73, 6,172 metres, licensed club, private golf course, professional Ron Wood.
Established in May 1927, Glenelg Golf Club was built upon a sandy marsh with Pine Hill as the dominant landmark. Pine Hill is now the site of a newly constructed and superbly designed clubhouse with modern facilities and magnificent panoramic views.
The par 71 course measures 6,034 metres for men, 5,381 metres for women and almost 6,200 metres from the tiger tees. The championship course has gently undulating couch fairways, strategically positioned bunkers and a variety of holes that call for accuracy off the tee. The dominant pine tree character of the course is complemented with indigenous trees and native vegetation, creating a unique blend of links style golf.
