Spirit of the Port
Depart from Fisherman's Wharf Markets Pontoon and cruise into the Jervois Basin. View images of the past on a large plasma screen as your captain explains the changing usage of the area.
Cruise along the wharves and in the North Arm of the Port River Estuary to view the Ship's Graveyard. Our boat can stand in close to the wrecks to give you a close up perspective not otherwise available as the Captain provides you with information about some of the more interesting of the 22 ships here.
A delicious lunch is served as we cruise to St Kilda passing extensive tidal flats and seagrass areas teeming with birdlife. The Captain will talk about some of these birds and about the pod of dolphins that call the Port River home.
At St Kilda take the self-guided boardwalk winding amongst the mangroves, tidal flats and channels of the Barker Inlet.
