Richmond Grove
Historic Richmond Grove is one of the Barossa Valley's most picturesque wineries. Built in 1897 in the style of a medieval Flemish Chateau, the winery nestles in a gracious garden setting on the banks of the North Para River, near Tanunda.
Cellar door wine sales- Richmond Grove wines are available for tasting in the welcoming surroundings of our intimate cellar door. Our experienced, friendly staff will guide you personally through the wines.
For wine enthusiasts, our separate VIP tasting area provides an opportunity for greater wine appreciation through group tastings or private structured sessions that can include back vintages, vertical tastings or discussion of varietals. Bookings can be made by telephone.
Outside the cellar door, visitors are welcome to enjoy our picnic grounds, outdoor tables and toilet facilities or enjoy a walk across the footbridge to the other nearby wineries along Para Road.
Basket Press Cellar Door- Our Basket Press Cellar Door Tour is a wonderful way to appreciate traditional winemaking techniques and the wineries heritage.
It includes part of the original winery where many pieces from the winery's early days remain, including grape crushers, open wine fermenters, basket presses and old barrel store.
Basket Press Cellar Tours are run daily, starting from the Cellar Door and booking can be made by telephone.
Cost for winery tour is AUD7.50 per person.
