Maggie Beer's Farm Shop
An absolute must whilst in the Barossa is a visit to Maggie Beer's Farm Shop. Maggie Beer - cook, writer and founder of 'Maggie Beer Products', offers tastings and sales of her full range including limited edition seasonal produce.
Customers can browse amongst her personally selected regional specialty goods, purchase one of her signed books or simply sit back and take in the view.
Maggie Beer's Farm Shop is a food haven where you can enjoy all day 'picnicfare' whether inside or out, an espresso coffee or a glass of Pheasant Farm or Beer Brothers wine.
As vignerons of the Barossa for more than 25 years, Maggie and Colin offer a full range of wines, which are exclusive to the cellar door. Verjuice cooking demonstrations take place at 1400 everyday using Maggie’s wonderful products for take home ideas.
The Pheasant Farm began humbly in 1979 as a farm shop and gradually evolved to become a world renowned restaurant, winning the Remy Martin Best Restaurant Award in 1991. Late in 1993, burnt out at the stoves, Maggie closed the doors at the height of its fame to concentrate on building her Export Kitchen in Tanunda and the expansion of her range of products.
Group bookings and tastings are by arrangement only. Cooking demonstrations at 2pm daily.
