Valley of Armagh
Valley of Armagh is the management arm of the viticulture and horticulture business carried out on the Glendalough Estate (established in 1878). Glendalough first became a fruit producing property in 1896 when the Clare Valley became known as the 'fruit bowl of the north'.
Today the production is olives, olive oil, blue gum honey, red wine vinegar and Shiraz, Cabernet and Riesling wines.
These products are sold through the licensed cellar door outlet on the property and account for 70 percent of sales with the balance being sold in the Clare district.
Customers are introduced to the flavours of these products by generous tastings, which includes an educational resume. This, accompanied with tasting notes, allows the consumer to appreciate the products as presented.
The cellar door is fully insulated, air-conditioned in summer, has gas heating in winter and has been fitted out with recycled materials. It also contains a storage and packing area and includes the necessary amenities.
Our patrons come here with an interest and leave with the interest fully sated.
