Burra Trail Rides operate horse trail rides through the scenic Burra hills from their property, Basin Farm located three kilometers east of Burra on the Goyder Highway and Morgan Road intersection. Renowned for safety and standard of matching horses to rider ability, this is a great activity for the whole family or special interest group. All rides can be tailored to suit your groups needs and time frames, with individuals able to join in with other small groups.

Full Day Trail RideRide around the scenic Burra hills and outback enjoying the spectacular views of the vast countryside. Full day ride takes you through the hills beyond Burra with morning tea when you arrive and stops for lunch and afternoon refreshments. Our horses are suitable for all levels of riding experience. Operates: Daily, by arrangement. One Hour Horse Trail RideRide around the scenic Burra hills and outback enjoying the spectacular views of the vast countryside. One hour ride covers approximately four kilometres of hilly terrain on private land. Our horses are suitable for all levels of riding experience. Operates: Daily, by arrangement. Three Day, Two Night Trail Ride and CampA three day horse ride suitable for experienced and beginner riders. Enjoy camping on top of the north Mount Lofty Ranges in stunning mallee scrub country with spectacular views of the vast countryside. Day One - Arrive at Basin Farm by 11am for a light lunch prior to loading gear in the support vehicle. Meet your horse and set off for the afternoon ride to our overnight camp (with lots of stops on the way for drinks and snacks). Day Two - After breakfast explore the hills around the camp on horseback before returning to camp for morning tea. Enjoy lots more exploring this afternoon and a tour of Mongolata Gold Mines before heading back to our overnight camp. Day Three - Is spent riding back to Basin Farm with a stop for lunch. We arrive back at Basin Farm at approximately 5pm. Operates: Daily, by arrangement. Three hour ride travels further through the hills to quiet country roads, with a stop for morning or afternoon tea. Our horses are suitable for all levels of riding experience.
