Cogwebs Bicycle Hire and Internet Access
Cogwebs is located in Auburn, South Australia gateway to the Clare and Gilbert Valley. Conveniently placed at the hub of three regional trails; the Riesling, Mawson and the Rattler Rail Trail, which all link or loop with further trails giving a network of cycling and walking trails in the area. This gives a choice of scenery, attractions and levels of fitness or adventure.
With Cogwebs you can explore the delights of the Trails from the seat of a modern well-maintained mountain bike all Giant brand apart from the Apollo tandem. Other than the tandem all bikes have front suspension and 21 gears and are easily able to tackle the various surfaces on the trails. To provide maintenance free riding the tyres have self-sealant in them to protect against punctures. Your bicycle size will be matched to your height for maximum performance to ensure all your effort goes into enjoying the delights that the Clare and Gilbert Valleys has to offer. You can enjoy the Trails as a team on our tandem and / or take the family along using our kiddie trailer, tag along or child seat. Bicycles have a choice of racks, panniers or baskets to carry any of your personal items or purchases bought along the way. Bicycle helmets are inclusive of the hire and legally required to be worn.
If you choose to do part of the Trails and / or start at a point on them other than Auburn our drop off / pick up service allows you to do this. You can relax knowing you are not under pressure to complete the Trail especially if weather conditions change or you have indulged yourself in a delicious meal at one of the many eateries in the region leaving you with the desire for a more leisurely return to base. Drop off / pick up does not have to be pre-booked you can decide what you want to do on the day and in fact during the course of your ride. Half day and full day rates of hire are available.
Advice on the Trails according to your interests, ability and current weather conditions will be given at the time of your ride to enhance your experience. We prefer that customers carry a mobile phone with them whilst on the trails so that we can contact them in case of weather alerts, fire and they can contact us for pickups / other.
Bicycle hire is available for extended periods - such as overnight, weekend, week so that you can choose when you want to go riding. Cogwebs offers bicycle repairs and servicing for locals and visitors and some replacement parts are available for purchase.
Cogwebs also provides Broadband ADSL Internet / computer access. Customers can use their own laptops with our wireless network (or data cable is available). Cogwebs computers are programmed with Windows Vista Business and Microsoft Office 2007.Wireless keyboards and mouse enable flexibility for users and all computers are wheelchair accessible. Printing - documents and photos, laminating, photocopying, scanning, e-mailing, internet searches, burn to disk are all services that Cogwebs offers. Computer repairs, upgrades and new computer sales are also available.
Cogwebs is open 8am to 6pm six days a week, closed Wednesday unless bicycle / computers pre-booked. In the hot months we can arrange for early morning or late afternoon /evening rides (outside of our usual opening times) so that you are not riding in the heat of the day or missing the opportunity to ride the Trails.
