Coffin Bay National Park
Enjoy some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in South Australia, ranging from ancient granite, limestone and sandstone cliffs to long beaches bordered by white sand dunes.
While some sections of the park's coastline can be reached by two-wheel drive, four-wheel drive tracks crossing sandy and limestone terrain open up more remote areas of the park to adventure seekers. Picturesque sections of the coastline can also be reached via bitumen road.
Discover windswept beaches of this peninsula where the Southern Ocean pounds the shoreline, to calmer sheltered waters of Yangie and Coffin Bay.
Keep an eye out for kangaroos, pods of dolphins, emus and goannas. Bird watchers may catch a glimpse of a sea eagle overhead, or some of the migratory birds that visit each summer.
Explore the coast on foot along one of the many walking trails. See the spectacular flame bush flower in spring.
