Lovely Valley Beverage Factory - Microbrewery
It is said that in the 1800s a governor, standing on the old track going up the southern hill near the existing causeway on the Myponga - Yankalilla Road, made a comment, 'What a Lovely Valley'. Hence the original name of the area 'Lovely Valley'. This information has been passed down through the Page family. We appreciate the old photos and information from Gail and Ian Fowler and John Oldfield, which are displayed at the Lovely Valley Beverage Factory.
The Lovely Valley Beverage Factory is the first micro brewery on the Fleurieu Peninsula. We use Coral Base spring water in all our products, which are chemical free.
Our range of naturally brewed beverages include: Three stouts, nine beers, two Black and Tans, Bloody Lovely (Stout and Lemon), Smooth Lager with a hint of Chilli, Ginger Bubbly, Cheeky Sars, Lemon Bubbly and Raspberry Pasha.
Five non-alcoholic drinks are produced: Ginger Beer, Lemon Fizz, Sarsaparilla, Ruby Cola and Raspberry Delight.
Lovely Valley Little A and a range of Fleurieu Peninsula wines are also available for sale.
Our Coral Base Water is high in natural minerals, such as Magnesium, calcium and potassium. We have received excellent feedback from customers who have noticed an improvement in their wellbeing, which they have attributed to the Lovely Valley Water.
A function room is available for private parties, corporate functions or bus groups.
