Mclaren Vale Premium Wines
McLaren Vale Premium Wines have the key ingredient in producing quality wine which is quality grapes and in particular a guaranteed supply of those grapes. Our own vineyards give us both quality and security of supply. Over 34 hectares of premium McLaren Vale vineyard provides us with ample supply of excellent fruit.
The principal variety grown is of course Shiraz, the variety that has gained international recognition for McLaren Vale. We also grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Grenache together with an exciting new planting of Petit Verdot, and of course Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay.
Internationally acclaimed Brian Light is our Winemaker, holder of the prestigious Australasian Winemaker of the Year 1987/1988 Award and twice Bushing King, McLaren Vale’s highest award.
During Brian’s three decades of winemaking he has produced wine from many different countries and regularly travels the world to oversee vintages and production on behalf of international wine companies. We affectionately refer to Brian as the Teacher.
