Flying Fish Cafe
The Flying Fish Cafe sits on the site of the old Horseshoe Bay Kiosk, which served many a beach-going holidaymaker from its inception in the 1960s.
As close to the sandy beach as it is possible to be, the Flying Fish Cafe is walled by glass on three sides, with mirrors on the remaining wall allowing exquisite views from every seat in the house.
In warm weather the windows are flung open to bring in the cooling breeze and sounds of the sea. In winter, sit in climate-controlled comfort and watch the whales lolling in their winter nursery or seals chasing seagulls.
Current owners Jake Stephens and Courtney Christie have successfully created a visually stunning restaurant with a cutting edge menu, and award-winning deck selling gourmet fish and chips in cones.
The restaurant menu is predominantly Modern Australian with an emphasis on seafood, a noticeable Asian influence and a hint of Italy. The wine list balances South Australian boutique wines, French, Italian and Spanish imports, and caters for every palate and budget.
